About the awards
The evolution and explosion in Film, Music and Television has resulted in opportunities being created for new faces and talents who have overnight gone on to become stars with huge fan followings both in India and internationally, where Indian entertainment is consumed. The talent has emerged from all over India - villages, small cities, large towns, metros and even overseas.
The good news is that this year Tellychakkar.com's Fourth New Talent Awards 2011 will recognize fresh talent who have risen above the rest of their peers in Film, Music and Television. For the past three years, Tellychakkar.com's New Talent Awards has rewarded fresh talent in Television by awarding close to 100 performers who have made their debut in the respective years.
Tellychakkar.com's Fourth New Talent Awards 2011, with 30 categories is a salutation to the depth of talent that India has. Those who will be felicitated include: Best New Actor - Film (Male & Female) and Television (Male and Female), Best New Singing Talent (Male and Female) among several others. The awards this year will reward excellence in performance by those making their debut between 1 April 2010 and 31 May 2011.
Our goal is to make The Annual New Talent Awards an aspirational reward for newcomers in Film, Music and Television with the support of creative professionals in all the three spheres.
Tellychakkar.com's New Talent Awards show has been telecast on Sahara One in 2008, and on Colors in 2009 and 2010.
